Dream doctors give children at the hospital the gift of laughter

Since 1993, the Theodora foundation has pursued the goal of bringing cheer and laughter to the everyday lives of children in hospital and specialised institutions. Every year, the dream doctors bring the gift of laughter and moments of happiness during their thousands of visits with children.

The recognised charitable foundation does not request government funding of any kind. The weekly visits by artists rely entirely on support from donors and partners.

Drehscheibe Velozentrum

By exporting recycled bikes, we don’t just promote bike-driven mobility, but also social engagement. The exported bikes are sent to bike centres which are hubs for the sale and repair of bikes, training and bike-related jobs.

With apprenticeship opportunities, they promote professional training and provide possibilities for earning an income. Local small businesses also benefit from the bike centres: Bikes make it possible to transport goods faster and more easily which brings orders to businesses.

The international foundation More Than A Drop has existed since 2011. We focus on providing long-term, sustainable aid to the poorest and most disadvantaged.

We focus extensively on “self-help projects” by following a systematic, integrative approach that combats poverty. Our foundation is politically nonpartisan, independent and tax-exempt.

  • We invest in young women without a school diploma or income

  • A hotel management school that offers career-guiding training in Tanzania

  • Every year since 2015, we have trained 35 women aged 18-21 years from the poorest social classes at our boarding school.

  • The sustainable, life-changing 15-month training based on a dual training system prepares them as best possible for their career – 90% of our students find a job

  • In addition to basic technical knowledge, our students are given the tools they need to lead a self-determined, independent lifestyle

  • The income from our guests provide long-term financing for the project

The VIVES Foundation was established with the intention of giving disadvantaged children and families access to clean water.
The aim is to improve living conditions and thus create prospects for a better future for disadvantaged children and families. The focus is on access to water and sanitary facilities in schools as well as hygiene education for schoolchildren, who carry their new knowledge back to their families and village communities. Without water and hygiene, children are often unable to go to school and without school education, there is no basis for a better future.
